THE LEADING EDGE (SOFTWARE COMPETITION)

Dear Friends,

Microsoft is giving you the chance to have the leading edge by completing your computation research project (i.e. animation, manufacturing design, video editing, data visualization) with Microsoft Windows Compute Cluster Server for only US$1/node! MSDNAA licenses will be available to all students (through their universities) participating in this contest which includes ALL Microsoft software except Microsoft Office. View this page for a full list of software inclusions http://www.msdnaa.net Areas of research include, but are not limited to: Engineering, Science, Biology, Biotechnology, Finance, Geology, Medicine, Mining, Computational Applications Development, Oil and Gas Exploration, Animation – Media and Entertainment, and any other field of research involving extensive computational calculations.

What is High Performance Computing (HPC)?

HPC can be broadly defined as the technology that is used to solve computational problems that need significant processing power and need to quickly access and process very large amounts of data. Reduction in the time of execution for a computational or data-intensive application is the ultimate goal of HPC. This allows businesses and researchers to solve difficult computational problems and do it faster than ever before. HPC is used extensively today in several areas such as financial modelling, computational fluid dynamics, and biomedical research.

What is Microsoft Compute Cluster Server?

Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003 brings together the power of commodity x64 (64-bit x86) computers, the ease of use and security of Active Directory service, and the Windows operating system to provide a security-enhanced and affordable high-performance computing (HPC) solution. Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003 can be easily and quickly deployed using standard Windows deployment technologies, and additional compute nodes can be added to the compute cluster by simply plugging in the nodes and connecting them. LOVE QUOTES

· Gravitation is not responsible for people falling in love.

· Love is the only sane and satisfactory answer to the problem of human existence.

· Love has no desire but to fulfill itself. To melt and be like a running brook that sings its
melody to the night. To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another
day of loving.

· Life has taught us that love does not consist in gazing at each other but in looking outward
together in the same direction.

· When love is not madness, it is not love.

· Let your love be like the misty rains, coming softly, but flooding the river.

· Love is much like a wild rose, beautiful and calm, but willing to draw blood in its defense.

· Love is a symbol of eternity. It wipes out all sense of time, destroying all memory of a
beginning and all fear of an end.

· Love is an act of endless forgiveness, a tender look which becomes a habit.

· Love one another and you will be happy. It's as simple and as difficult as that.

· The hours I spend with you I look upon as sort of a perfumed garden, a dim twilight, and a
fountain singing to it. You and you alone make me feel that I am alive. Other men it is
said have seen angels, but I have seen thee and thou art enough.

· A bell is no bell 'til you ring it,
A song is no song 'til you sing it,
And love in your heartWasn’t
put there to stay -
Love isn’t love'Til you give it away.

Girls........

When a GIRL is quiet ... millions of things are running in her mind. When a GIRL is not arguing ... she is thinking deeply. When a GIRL looks at u with eyes full of questions ... she is wondering how long you will be around. When a GIRL answers “I’m fine “after a few seconds ... she is not at all fine.

When a GIRL stares at you ... she is wondering why you are lying. When a GIRL lays on your chest ... she is wishing for you to be hers forever. When a GIRL wants to see you everyday... she wants to be pampered. When a GIRL says “I love you” ... she means it. When a GIRL says “I miss you” ... no one in this world can miss you more than that.

Life only comes around once make sure u spend it with the right person.... Find a guy ... who calls you beautiful instead of hot. Who calls you back when you hang up on him. Who will stay awake just to watch you sleep. Wait for the guy who ... kisses your forehead. Who wants to show you off to the world when you are in your sweats. Who holds your hand in front of his friends. Who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares about you and how lucky he is to have you. Who turns to his friends and says, “That’s her!!”

Perfect First Impression

Dear Friends,
Here are some of the tips for the perfect first impression.

When u walk into an interview, remember it only takes 30 seconds to make a lasting impression. Here are some actions you can take to help master the first impression:

· HANDSHAKE: Offer a limp hand and your partner will think you're hesitant or meek. Give a bone-crunching squeeze and you can appear overly enthusiastic or domineering__ and it hurts. But when you shake with a medium-firm grip, you convey confidence and authority.

. TIMING: Few things give a worse impression than turning up late for an important meeting. Allowing yourself sometime to get to the interview in case you have trouble finding the office. Ideally, you should check in 10 minutes early, and always be courteous and professional to everyone you meet.

. APPEARANCE: People make judgments on appearances, so it’s important to look like professional that you are. But if you dress too formally, you’ll look stuffy, and if you dress too casually, the interviewer may think you’re not serious about the job. Clothes may make the (wo) man, but hair and hygiene are crucial. Be sure your hair is clean and well-groomed and keep your makeup minimal.

. BODY LANGUAGE: Don’t underestimate the importance of your posture and subtle movements. To ensure your body language signals your confidence, sit up straight with your shoulders back. Avoid crossing your legs, and don’t adopt a casual pose, even if your interviewer does. Don’t fidget and try to maintain eye contact with the interviewer.

Situation of Nepali women in 21st century

Dear Friends,
When I was Searching single women group then I really got shocked by reading some of the true stories about Nepali single women. Then I realized that in this 21st century everyone talk about their rights but the situation of women is same as it was in 18th century. Here is one true story:

Name : Radha shah
Age : 25
Location : Saptari
Cause of husband death : Accident
Children : 5 years one son

Six year ago Radha got married to Krishna from Saptari district in the traditional way and their life was full of love and happiness. In the family there was the mother-in-law, father-in-law and Krishna who earned money while Radha was the home maker. There was always plenty to go round and Radha’s in-laws loved her a lot. Days passed and Radha became pregnant and delivered a baby boy. After the birth of their child the love between Radha and her husband grew deeper. This couple always thought about how they would look after their son.

Very sadly in 2002 A.D. Radha’s husband died suddenly their her son was just six months old. After that Radha’s life turned in a different direction. The treatment from her in-laws changed and Radha was forced to work, not only in the house but also outside as a daily wage laborer.

Her father-in-law had his evil eye on her and she was forcibly sexually abused by him for five years. She was not able to talk about this as her father-in-law had threatened to kill her son if she told anyone. Although the other members of family knew, no-one had enough courage to speak out on her behalf.

In 2006 A.D., Women for Human Rights (WHR), single women group held capacity building training for single women (widows) in Saptari. Radha took part in this and became aware of the rights of single women. She explained her problems to the single women’s groups in Saptari after which they went to her home and spoke to her father-in-law. Of course, he said he did not accept this and told them he was not scared that they would go and complain about him. The single women’s group organized a press conference and filed Radha’s case with the CDO, later her father-in-law accepted his misbehaver. She also filed a case for getting her share of her property. Radha’s case was shown on Nepal 1 Television in Asoj 2006 A.D.

Radha now lives alone with her 5 year old son.

Isn't it shocking?????For more true stories see this site:

Joke

Once Santa & Banta were travelling along with their friends Monty & Jaggi. On a road surrounded by forests on both sides, their car was attacked by robbers. Santa & his friends were pulled out of the car. The robbers blasted the car and took Santa, Banta and their friends in the middle of the forest where their boss was residing.

Now, this boss was fond of jokes. So, he put the condition that whoever tells a joke that makes every single person laugh should be left unharmed and alive, but if one single person doesn't laugh then the joke-teller would be shot to death.

Banta started telling the funniest joke he had ever heard, "One day........." and when he was finished, everybody were falling with laughter except Santa. So according to the vow, the boss shot poor Banta.

Now, it was the turn of Monty. He also told the best joke he had ever heard. Again everybody laughed including the boss & his robbers, but still Santa was quite as a statue. So the boss shot him.

Then came Jaggi. As he opened his mouth to tell the joke, Santa suddenly burst into laughter. Everyone was puzzled. Santa was laughing madly.

The boss asked him, "Why the hell are you laughing without hearing the joke?

"Santa said laughing and giggling, "Oh! How funny Banta's joke was!"
